My cousin Karina and I were very alike. We liked the same toys, hamburgers and favourite songs. 1 especially liked spending time at a karate(空手道) camp. It was next to a piece of beautiful land with many tall and green2 . And the more time we spent together, the more we realized how amazingly alike we were.
3 then something happened. It was said that the trees would be cut down to build a4 . It was the first time she disagreed with me.
When I heard about the news,"That was 5 . All the birds and squirrels would lose theirhomes, so we must stop that."I said angrily.
"I disagree,"said Karina."The shopping center would make new jobs for people who reallyneed work."
"I want people to have jobs, but not if it means 6 the tree area."I said.
"Don't you think people's jobs are more important than trees?"Karina asked.
"Can't we find out how to make jobs 7 destroying(破坏) nature?"I answered.
"You know,"Karina said, super seriously,"Maybe we're not quite as alike as we thought."
I lowed my head in 8 . Maybe two people with opposite points of views just aren'tmeant to be in good relationship, I was thinking.
Even though I wished Karina agreed with me about saving the trees, I realized she had herreasons for believing 9 she did. So, here's how I think about it. No two people are exactlyalike. What's important is that you respect each other and try to 10 that they can have theirown different opinions.
