The International Day of Peace is on September 21st. We met the founder of the event and some stars performing.
The idea for Peace Day came about 20 years ago. When actor and film-maker Jeremy Gilley was making some films about the world, he had questions about what he was seeing.
Why did some countries fight in wars? He had many questions and these questions made him decide to create a day of peace. Jeremy told us that peace is about not feeling scared and being with people you love.
Imagine if everyone does one thing a day to help someone, what a difference that can make. Jeremy has an important message for us: We can't take care of our planet without peace, and we can't have peace without taking care of our planet.
Actor Mark Rylance sang with his friend, musician Sting. Mark told us that Peace Day for him was about being positive(积极乐观的) and helping others.
Going to the Peace One Day celebration event was amazing. It has really helped me think about all the ways I can use to create peace every day.
