Guizhou is a place full of mountains and the mountainous landform (地貌) makes bridges the special symbols of Guizhou. Bridges bring the villages closer together and bring more chances to the land. It is the chances that make Guizhou be able to show its wonderful events to the world.
"Village Super", also known as "cunchao", takes place in Rongjiang every year. The game has caught people's eyes in a short time. "Village Super" is mainly organized and taken part in (参加) by local people. It is different from the World Cup, because during the halftime of the competition, there will be performances of Dong ethnic songs (侗族大歌), Miao Lusheng dances and so on. People will jump in circles, and the circle is just like a cultural symbol connecting heart to heart.
Another special event "Haohuahong" was held from April 30th to May 3rd, 2024 in Qiannan. Lots of people from Qiannan took part in the event. The event followed the rules of local customs and helped develop the hometown. Many performances showed the culture of Qiannan. During the tourism season, there were lantern shows, food streets and agricultural product exhibitions (农产品展销).
Thanks to these events, more local young people who used to work in big cities have returned to their hometown s to look for better jobs. "I'm so glad that the events are now helping the development of the villages in Guizhou. " said a local villager.
