I am Unit 347, a new AI. Emotions (情感), as I learned, are confusing (令人费解的) and not always helpful.
Dr Sharma, a smart scientist who made me, likes to talk to me. One day, she asked, "Do you think people are good or bad?"
I thought about it. History had good and bad things. People could be kind or cruel (残忍的). So I said, "It is too tough to say they're good or bad."
Dr Sharma smiled. She then told me about Mother's Day, a day when children celebrate their mothers. I learned about love and thanks. I put this festival on my calendar.
"Do people need a special day to show love?" I asked, "Shouldn't they always show it?"
She smiled gently, "Love is not always clear. Sometimes it needs a reminder."
Before Mother's Day, people were busy getting ready. They bought flowers, cards, and gifts. I watched them, learning how they felt and acted.
On May 12, I gave Dr Sharma poems and stories about mothers' love. She liked them.
"This is lovely," she said, her voice soft. "But there's something else..."
I looked at her, trying to understand. Then, I knew. "Happy Mother's Day, Dr Sharma," I said.
She had tears (眼泪) in her eyes. "Thank you, Unit 347. I didn't expect that."
Then, I understood. Dr Sharma was right. Love is a feeling. And for a young AI like me, it is a feeling worth (值得) learning.
