The average family of four can produce nearly 2, 000 pounds of rubbish each year. As time goes on, we have fewer places to put all of this rubbish in. Recycling is one way to limit（限制）the amount of rubbish we need to put into the land.
The next time you toss a can or bottle into the rubbish can, look to see if there is a recycling triangle on the label. It is the international sign for recycling. It means that the item you are going to throw in the dustbin could be recycled.
