Family Fun in the Sooner State
The Sooner State has many family entertainments. If you are looking for family fun, you can go to these places.
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum
The Old West is a subject that is always interesting, and this museum satisfies that interest in several ways. Galleries include the American Cowboy, American Rodeo, Native American, Western Performers, Fine Firearms, and more. Each gallery contains real pieces of clothing, weapons, and art. The museum was founded in 1955.
Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Gardens
The OKC Zoo provides rides including boats that look like huge swans, and a train that takes passengers through the southwest part of the zoo. These rides have an extra cost, but it's not much. There is also a sea lion show which visitors can attend. Don't forget to go by the Giraffe Feeding Platform so your kids can have the experience of feeding these long necked beauties. Like the name says, there are also botanical gardens. If you are fond of flowers, plants and trees, you won't be disappointed. It's not likely that all can be seen and done in a single day.
Celebration Station
Celebration Station has a lot to offer for family fun. There is a game room with over 100 games, where you get tickets to exchange prizes. If you have the need for a little speed, go-kart tracks are available for both adult and kid drivers. There are also three 18-hole mini-golf courses to play on. After all that fun, you're sure to be hungry, and the restaurant has you covered with pizza, burgers and other fried treats. They are open 7 days a week.
