I'm a middle school student in No. 101 Middle School. I 1to say something about my new school.
My school is very big. 2 is next to Yuhe Park. I like my school 3 it's very beautiful. You can see trees and flowers everywhere in the school. The library is very 4, too. It's blue and gray. It has about 1,300,000 5. I like books, so I often 6my favorite books there after school. Our dining hall(餐厅) is small and7hold(容纳) all the students. So classes don't go to the dining hall at the same time. In this way, we needn't wait to 8our meal. Our class always goes to the dining hall9, but the food there is still(仍然)10and hot(热的). By the way, teachers in my school are also nice.
This is my new school. Do you like it?
(at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday in Li Hua's home)
Li Hua: Hey, Mom. This is my new classmate, Annie.

Willie and his friends are magicians (魔法师). On his birthday Willie asks his friends Priscilla, Silvester and other children to his home for his birthday party. They give Willie books, foods, pictures and so on. They have a good time.
After some time, Willie says, "I want to go to the swimming pool (游泳池). Swimming is my favorite sport."
Silvester says, "Let me help you, Willie! I know what to do." Then Silvester pours some water on the floor (在地上洒水). "Wow! A big swimming pool!" say the children. All the children are happy and they go into the water to swim.
Later Priscilla says, "It's boring to swim like this. Let's all be fish (鱼)!" Then she says, "Fish!" Everyone is a fish in the water now. They swim for hours.
That evening, Willie goes to bed happily. He has a really interesting birthday.
Laura loves contests(竞赛). She likes to win(赢).
"OK, everyone." Mr. Perkins says, "we need a class leader (班长) for each month. He or she needs to choose a theme (选择一个主题) for the class activity that month."
"It is a contest! I must win!" thinks Laura.
"The class leader will do a lot of things," Mr. Perkins says. "Who wants to be the class leader? Put up your hands."
Laura puts up her hand first. Michael, Ken, Zoe, Melissa and Berry put up their hands, too. Mr. Perkins writes their names on the blackboard.
"I have a great idea for the class activity," Melissa says to her deskmate.
Laura hears Melissa's words. Melissa doesn't just want to win. She wants to help the class.
"Who do you want to be this month's class leader? Why?" asks Mr. Perkins.
"I think Melissa will be a good class leader," says Laura. "She has a great idea for the class activity, and she always helps."
"Thanks," Melissa says. "But I think you want to be the class leader."
"Next month, I think." says Laura.
All cities and even most towns in the UK have a library. You can borrow (借) many books for free. I'm a member of the library in my town. I can borrow twenty books for free, I can use the computers there, and I can take my two-month-old daughter! So she can start reading from an early age. The library also has lots of activities for adults (成年人) and children. They help me and my daughter get to know people around.
There are some very great libraries in the UK. For example, the British Library is the largest (最大的) library in the UK. It has over 150 million items (物品)! Hammersmith Library is not that big, but there is a teen area and a children's library.
Reading is a very good way to learn. If you come to study in the UK one day, let the libraries here help you.

Sam: We are the same age. Can you tell me what our first class is?
Li Li: Sure. It's math.
Sam: Oh, I like it. Math is my favorite subject. It's a little (有点) difficult but interesting.
Li Li: Really? Math is too difficult for me. I like P.E.
Sam: I like P.E., too. Tennis is my favorite sport.
Li Li: The second class is P.E. We can play together (一起).
Sam: Great!
Hello, Jack. I have a new classmate.
