Henry is a boy of nine. Three years ago, he began to go to school. He studied hard and does well in his lessons. His parents like him very much.
Henry's grandpa is a single (单身的) man. But once he lost a leg in a traffic accident. And now he can't work. He often tells the boy all kinds of interesting stories. Sometimes he makes a kite or a cage. And he teaches the boy how to catch the singing birds and how to give them food. The boy admires him very much and always stays with him when he's free. But Henry's mother didn't like the old man. She always thought him useless and dirty, and didn't let her son play with him but the boy didn't listen to her. When they sat at table, she put some food on another table and filled a broken bowl with rice and porridge. The old man was very sad but he dared (敢) not say anything. Henry was angry with his mother about it. One day he saw a broken bowl on his way home. He picked it up and put it into his bag. His mother found it and asked, "Why have you brought a broken bowl home, dear?" "I keep it for you." said Henry, "When you're old like my grandpa, I'll fill it with rice for you!" Having heard this, the woman began to cry. Since then she's been good to the old man.
Mike Myers is a teacher at Chauncey Rose High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. Last year, he taught his students about the world's rain forests. They learned that rain forests are important because the plants and animals of the rain forest give us food, wood, and medicine.
Destruction of the world's rain forests is a serious problem. Unluckily, rain forests are disappearing at a rate of 80 acres per minute! As part of a class project, Myers' students bought three acres of rain forest in Central America. They paid $25 per acre. The students hope that the land they bought will be protected and not destroyed. The students became so interested in rain forests that they decided to get a closer look at a real rain forest.
So last June, Myers and four of his students took a boat ride down a river. They saw alligators and crocodiles. In the middle of the week, a guide took Myers and his students into the rain forest. "The monkeys were not happy that we were in their forest. They broke small branches off the trees and threw them at us," one of the students said, "It was a great learning experience for all of us," said Myers.
Each student chose something specific about Costa Rica to study involving the plants, animals, food, and culture. During the last few days the group had time to do fun activities. They went whitewater rafting and horseback riding, and visited Costa Rica's active volcano.
Myers hopes to make the trip every year with a different group of kids.

There are many things you can do to improve your memory(记忆力). Among them are many kinds of useful ways are well as taking special care of your health.
It is important that you make yourself excited to make your memory more active. You can do this by doing some new activities and by changing your daily habits(习惯). Learning a new skill helps your brain(大脑)to develop. When trying to remember something, you should pay special attention(注意) to the most important things about it .Do not allow other thoughts to enter your mind because this will reduce your chances of making right memories. An excellent way to help memory is to connect information with pictures. Try to see the pictures in your mind. Taking notes and keeping a diary will also be helpful.
Healthy food and plenty of vitamins are necessary for your memory to work well. Drinking a lot of water also helps keep your memory. You must allow your brain to have enough sleep and rest. When you are asleep, your brain stores memory. Not enough sleep can cause problems with storing information. And being tired will also stop you from being able to think clearly and well.
In order to keep your mind on your work, you must be free from worry. Generally keeping fit and normal health checks are both important as well-not just for improving your memory.

It was a dark and cold night. The taxi driver didn't have even one passenger(乘客) all day. When he went by the railway station, he saw a young man coming out with two bags in his hands. So he quickly opened the door of the car and asked, "Where do you want to go, sir?"
"To Star Hotel," the young man answered. When the taxi driver heard this, he didn't feel happy any more. He knew the young man could give him only three dollars because the hotel was not far from the railway station. But suddenly, he had an idea. He took the passenger through many streets of the big city.
After a long time, the car arrived at the hotel at last. "You should pay me fifteen dollars," the driver said to the young man. "What? Fifteen dollars! Do you think I'm a fool? Only last week, I took a taxi from the railway station to this same hotel and I only gave the driver thirteen dollars. I know how much I have to pay for the trip. I won't pay you one dollar more than I paid to the other taxi driver last week."
When you finish high school or university(大学), is learning done? The answer is ‘no'. In many countries, people continue learning all their l. Why is lifelong(终身的) learning i?
You go to school and learn. You study and take tests. B learning doesn't only happen in school. Learning doesn't s when you leave high school or college. You are learning all the time. For example, learning can h when you go to a museum. It can a happen when you get a job. You learn when you play a game or take a trip. Learning is everywhere! We n stop learning. Every day you can improve y by learning something new.
In Japan, lifelong learning is very important. People in Japan like to try new learning. Music, calligraphy (书法) and foreign languages are some of their f classes. The Japanese take classes to improve their skills and learn new things.
When we are no l at school, we can continue to learn. Make lifelong learning one of your goals!
1)今天我在网站上进行了一次在旅行,去了悉尼。
2)悉尼在澳大利亚的东北海岸,是澳大利亚最大的城市。
3)在网站上,我看了许多悉尼的图片。看到了许多美丽的沙滩;带着许多帆,看起来像一艘轮船的悉尼歌剧院 (the Sydney Opera House);
4)花了半小时爬上了歌剧院附近的海港大桥(Harbour Bridge),感觉太棒了;
5)澳大利亚的季节与我们的相反,最佳的旅游时间是春秋两季。
