Scrapbooking is a hobby. It has been popular for more than 500 years. People called it a friendship book. They kept pictures, letters, poems and other things they wanted to remember.
Today people collect many things in scrapbooks. Some people have funny collections, like the world's most awkward ideas or pictures of the world's ugly dogs. Other people may collect stories about the bad weather.
It is easy to get started. First, you should decide what you want to collect. Start with just one idea. Next, you will need a book with background paper, scissors and glue. You need the scissors to cut out the pictures or stories. You need the glue to stick them to the background paper.
You can be busy and collect many things or lazy and collect few things. It'll be lots of fun to make your scrapbook and you can share it with your friends.
You can make a windsock (风向袋) !
Have you ever seen a windsock blowing in the wind?Well, you can make one of your own! This is a fun project that you can do with things you may have. You just need to follow a few easy steps.
You will need:
● one piece of dark-coloured paper
● five ribbons
● strong tape
● a piece of string
● a pencil
What to do:
Step 1: Draw pictures on the paper. You can write your name on it. Do anything that will make it special to you.
Step 2:Make the paper into the shape of a tube. Hold one of the shorter edges (边缘) over the other. Then make them together with the tape in each end and in the middle
Step 3:Ue a pencil to make a hole into both sides of the tube. The holes should be only on one end of the tube. Pull the string through both holes. Then tie the ends of the string together.
Step 4: Now make five holes around the top of the other end of the tube. Put a ribbon through each of the holes. Tie a knot in the ends. Make sure the knots are bigger than the holes.
Now your windsock is ready to use, but how does it work? The shape of the tube plays an important part. Wind blows through the tube and makes it fly and dance around. Hold the windsock up in the air by its string and run around. It will fly behind you. You can also hang it outside and watch it dance around on its own!
While being on my year abroad, I have tried to c small things such as train tickets, postcards, and I have been taking lots of photographs. Living in F, I take the underground every day. I have my own personalized map on which I have circled all of my favourite restaurants, cafes, parks and other places. I have even coloured it to say if these places have f WiFi or lunch deals. What I plan to do with all these things is m a scrapbook.
For those of you who have never heard of the word"scrapbook", it's an empty book which people usually take away with them on holiday, and fill it with"scraps"of paper, tickets, maps, stamps, photographs, etc. It is l a memory book. You will always have the memories of your favourite places and w you liked them so much, all in your scrapbook! It is really valuable to own it if you ever want to r to that place. My scrapbook started in September and after eight months it was a full!

You can't imagine how happy you can be by just looking at an old ticket with a special d on, or a napkin from your favourite restaurant. It's the little things that can make you smile.
Birdwatching is a fun hobby. Many people enjoy it every day. You can also enjoy it. Birdwatching does not have to take a lot of time or money. With materials around your house, you can build a good birdhouse. You can start birdwatching in 30 minutes in your very own yard. It's very easy!
Materials you will need:
A milk box
Glue
Scissors
Brown paint
Tools for painting
To build a better birdhouse:
Clean and dry the milk box.
Glue the top of the milk box shut.
Cut holes into the milk box for the birds to get into. The size you use will decide which birds use the house. You can cut one hole per side, or two. A good place to cut is about four inches from the bottom.
Paint your milk box brown. The colour helps the birdhouse mix with the tree.
Cut some holes in the bottom of the box to let out any dirty thing. Add at least two small holes in the top of the box. The top holes are to let in fresh air. Do this AFTER painting, or the paint could fill in your holes!
Put the box in a tree. You can see the birdhouse from a window of your house. Now you can watch your birds in any weather!
