Students these days often have a lot of worries. Sometimes they have problems with their schoolwork, and sometimes with their friends. Some people think the worst thing is to do1. Laura Mills, a teenager from Washington, agrees. "Problems and2are normal(正常的) in life," says Laura. "But I think3to someone helps a lot. If we don't talk to someone, we'll certainly feel4."
Laura once lost her purse, and worried for days. She was5to tell her parents about it. She even6three miles to school each day because she didn't have any money. She just kept thinking. "If I tell my parents, they'll be angry!" But7she talked to her parents and they were8understanding. Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes himself. They got her a new9and asked her to be more careful. "I will always10to share my problems in the future!" Laura says.
Robert Hunt, an expert (专家), advises students about common problems. He feels the11way as Laura. "It is best not to avoid (避免) our problems. We should always try to solve (解决) them." He thinks that you can first find someone to talk to and this person doesn't need to be an expert12himself. Students often forget that their13have more experience, and are always there to help them.
In English, we say that14a problem is like cutting it in half.15you're halfway to solving a problem if you talk to someone about it!

What would you paint if someone asked you to tell them about China?
12-year-old Mao is a student from Chengdu Xichuan Middle School. Her painting, Future Is Coming, is on show at the International Youth Art Invitation Exhibition in Florence, Italy.
"My picture shows my opinion of what my hometown of Chengdu will be like in the future: there are skyscrapers(摩天大楼)and robots everywhere, as well as green forests, clean rivers and wild animals; scientists are sending rockets into space, while artists are performing Sichuan opera, "said Mao. "I want to show the beauty of China to the world. "
Mao started to learn painting at an early age. The paper and brushes have helped her to build friendships. When she was in second grade, she visited an Indonesian school. There, Mao used fun pictures to tell Indonesian students the meanings of different Chinese characters. The students really enjoyed her paintings. She even made close friends with one of her "fans".
"People around the world speak different languages. However, and we can all understand it, "said Mao." To improve understanding and share ideas --that's what I love most about art."
Dad and I were driving to a store to get some food and drink for a big dinner. My dad's company was going to have an important new customer.
As we drove, we noticed an old man at the side of the road. He had a flat tyre (瘪了的轮胎). Usually, Dad would stop, but this time he didn't. We had to hurry.
About half an hour later, when we were driving back, we saw the old man there again. This time, Dad stopped the car and got out. "Anything I can help?"
"Yes, " said the old man, "I can't get the wheel off. You are the only person who has stopped to offer help. "My dad called me and got out. Soon we had the old wheel off and the new one on. The old man offered to pay us, but Dad refused and we made our way to his company.
Dad was very nervous(紧张的)for he had never met the new customer. Hearing the knock Dad answered the door. Guess what! It was the old man with the flat tyre at the side of the road.
The old man couldn't believe his eyes. He took Dad's hand and said, "You're a man with a kind heart. I'm happy to cooperate with your company. "
Of course, Dad didn't help a stranger to get rewards (报酬). However, it often happens that when we do the right thing, the right thing happens to us.
①My geography class just got a lot more interesting. That was because the teacher didn't just teach us knowledge about the world's countries and natural features (特征). Instead, she had us play games on the fun learning platform (平台) "Kahoot!".
②The games are also called kahoots, and they test our knowledge in cool ways. One way is with quizzes. Each quiz is on a different subject, and the questions have two to four answer choices.
③The questions also have time limits (限制). They can be as short as five seconds to as long as four minutes. We get points for getting the correct answer and for the speed of our answers. That last part makes the games really exciting because everyone tries to be the fastest one to answer.
④With "Kahoot!", we can also challenge (挑战) ourselves with problems. In those games, we have to put four answer choices in the right order. For example, we might see four mountains and their heights on the screen. Our job then is to arrange(排列) them from the tallest to the shortest.
⑤If that's too much for our brains, then we can play games with simple "true or false" questions. "Kahoot!"is really fun to play. It's easy to use as well, and anyone can make their own kahoots.
⑥I tried it, and I found that I actually learned and remembered more in the process. I also enjoyed sharing my kahoot with my friends and classmates. Everyone had a great time, and we couldn't wait to play others' kahoots.
① "Kahoot! "is a fun learning platform.
② The games on "Kahoot!" are also called kahoots.
③ Without "Kahoot!", teachers can't teach geography.
④ "Kahoot!" helps teachers talk about different countries.
