I really love this saying, "Love is endless and unlimited." For me, there's a story behind it. When I used to hand out chocolates with beautiful paper bags, my friends always told me, "You are wasting time and money. No one here believes in nameless gifts. " To be honest, I have noticed that people here do donate(捐赠)in temples. They give food to the poor, and provide clothes and other things for whoever is in need.
I think maybe I am the one who starts to think of the dogs in our neighborhood. When I moved into this new community, I noticed that there were two street dogs. They were wounded and homeless, and everyone used to stay away from them and hit them when they came any closer. They were becoming thinner and thinner and they would did of hunger sooner or later.
But my habit of loving dogs has changed all these things. I began to walk close to them and give them food regularly. When I touched their heads and gave love to them, I could see tears in their eyes. My friends noticed, and now even kids and elders in the community provide them with food and also love them. I am really glad to see that I saved their lives.
What I started will lead to beautiful memories with them. They enjoy playing with me and they even have a particular pose when they see me. I see a sparkle in their eyes and a smile on their faces. They are priceless for me.
For the growing number of Chinese heading west to work and study, there's plenty they find surprising. Upon arrival in the West, many Chinese find they have to firstly put on the brakes. Li Yifeng, raised in northern China and now based in England, agrees. "The only thing Chinese people would be shocked by in Britain is how long it takes to do things, " he says. "For instance in China if you want to open a bank account, you don't wait, you just do it at the counter." Out-of-hours and weekend work is standard in China, but in Britain, the weekend is for family and friends.
Jack Chen, who left his homeland 12 years ago and is now a lawyer in Belgium says office politics are simpler in Europe, partly because the hierarchy (等级制度) is less rigid than in China, where the boss really is the boss and social class in the office is very obvious and important. As a result, staff in a Chinese company think very carefully about how to present their views and ideas. Employees in the West can share their opinions more freely. In China you should have the wisdom to say something in an appropriate way. But in Europe you can just say what you want.
The newest Chinese arrivals have a very different view to previous generations, according to Sharon Jin, who moved to the US 20 years ago and is now an American citizen. "Almost 100% of people of my generation who came to the States want to get a green card," she says. "But today younger Chinese plan to work for 10 years here and then return to China to buy a house or look after their parents." While a record number of 523, 700 students left China to study elsewhere in 2015, roughly 70%--80% of students abroad have been returning in recent years because of the attractive job market at home, according to the Chinese Ministry of Education (CME).
"That's funny! These fellows in the middle of the plate have died," Dr Alexander Fleming was talking to another doctor in a laboratory in London. He had been studying some germs(细菌)that he was growing on a plate. They were very dangerous germs because they caused different kinds of illnesses that could kill people. Dr Fleming found that a mould(霉菌) had floated in through the window landing on the plate. It had killed some of the germs it had touched.
"This certainly looks promising," Fleming said. "We must grow some of this mould to see if it will kill other germs."
He named the strange mould "penicillin". It proved to be a killer of many germs. Fifty mice were given deadly germs and then half of them were injected(注射)with penicillin. The twenty-five untreated mice died, but twenty-four of those that had been treated with penicillin lived. Dr Fleming wrote a report about what he had found out. Hardly anybody took any notice of it.
In 1938 Dr Howard Florey, an Australian working in London, read Dr Fleming's report and was very interested. He found that penicillin was effective in treating blood poisoning in human beings.
When World War II broke out, it was not possible to make enough penicillin in England. Dr Florey went to America where he helped to have enormous amounts of this wonderful drug made. It saved the lives of thousands of soldiers, sailors and airmen who would have died from their wounds if the hospitals had not had penicillin.
Using Healthy Cooking Methods Is Important Eating healthier meals is a big part of taking good care of yourself and your family, but eating healthier meals doesn't mean you have to give up your favorite food.
Boil vegetables and meats without using any oils or fats.. It's not only healthier than using lots of fats, but also it keeps the nutrients(营养素)of the foods. All you need to boil food is a large pot, water, and a little bit of salt. Carrots, cabbages, potatoes, chicken and beef are just a few choices for food you can boil.
Steam vegetables and fish to keep all the nutrients unbroken. You can place a steaming basket over a pot of boiling water and place them in the steamer basket to contain all the juices. Simply bring a pot of water to boil.. Add your food to the basket. Add some salt or lemon juice to your steamed vegetables or fish for some extra flavor.
. Barbecue is great from a certain point of view because it makes your meat soft and tasty while also letting the fat drip away from it, which is healthier for you. It also passes on a nice flavor to meats and vegetable. You can roast steak and chicken, as well as vegetables, like potatoes, peppers, onions, and even lettuce.
Try eating raw foods to avoid losing any nutrients through cooking. Focus on eating uncooked foods.. Eating only raw foods isn't recommended for children or for women who are pregnant.

When I think of the word perfect, I think of something only a few can achieve, anything that I can compare myself to. For a few weeks, I have been1one girl who is in a few of my middle school classes. It seems like she has a2life—lots of friends, all A's, and everything anyone could ever want,3in my point of view.
One day, I was talking to my teacher about one of the upcoming tests when I saw the girl4me in a strange way. I5started to feel surprised and think, "Why is she looking at me? Did I do something wrong? Is my hair messed up?" When the class was dismissed and everyone was6to their next class, she caught up to me and said, "I just thought you should know, I think you are really7. " I then watched her as she walked away and thought, "She thinks I am pretty?"
The whole day, I8up thinking about one thing. That was, "Why does she think that?" After thinking about that9in my head through each second of the day, I came to learn one big10: everyone has their own insecurities even though they may not be discovered on the11. In this case, I was thinking that she was everything I wanted to be and she thought the12of me. Both of us are not perfect. It is our13to either accept that and love ourselves or keep torturing (折磨)ourselves with14. I think that being able to fully love yourself is the15meaning of the word perfect.

Steve, a twelve-year-old boy with alcoholic parents, was about to be lost forever by the U. S. education system. Remarkably, he could read, yet, in spite of his reading skills, Steve was failing. He had been failing since first grade, as he was passed on from grade to grade. Steve was a big boy, looking more like a teenager than a twelve-year-old, yet, Steve went unnoticed…until Miss White. Miss White was a smiling, young, beautiful teacher. For the first time in Steve's young life, he couldn't take his eyes off his teacher;yet, still he failed. He never did his homework, and he was always in trouble with Miss White.
In the middle of the first semester of school, the entire seventh grade was tested for basic skills. Steve hurried through his tests, and continued to dream of other things. His heart was not in school, but in the woods, where he often escaped alone, trying to shut out the sights, sounds and smells of his alcoholic home.
One day, Miss White's impatient voice broke into his daydreams. "Steve!!" Surprised, he turned to look at her. "Pay attention!" Steve locked his gaze on Miss White with adolescent adoration, as she began to go over the test results for the seventh grade. "You all did pretty well," she told the class, "except for one boy, and it breaks my heart to tell you this, but. . ." She hesitated, pinning Steve to his seat with a sharp stare, her eyes searching his face. "…The smartest boy in the seventh grade is failing my class!" She just stared at Steve, as the class spun around for a good look Steve dropped his eyes and carefully examined his fingertips. "Steve! Please! I care about you!" Miss White reminded Steve with a louder voice.
Wow! Suddenly, Steve got it!!Someone cared about him? Someone, totally unattainable and perfect, CARED ABOUT HIM?
