Dear Blaire,
How are you? I have a good time living in my new neighborhood. There is a sports center in it. It's just in front of our house, so my father often goes there to swim. There is also a park in my neighborhood. It's not far from my school. I like to spend time there with my friends after school. But my favorite place is the zoo. To get there, I usually ride my bike for ten minutes.
On Friday evening, my parents and I usually eat out. There are three restaurants near my home. Mr. Greens Restaurant is our favorite. Mr. Green is always friendly. The food is cheap and delicious. Lots of people like to have dinner there.
Can you come to see me when you're free? I'll show you around my neighborhood.
Yours.
Michael
Mr. Lee is a teacher. He is strict with his students. He asks them not to be late for school. Never! Sometimes the students are late and Mr. Lee is not happy.
This morning, Mr. Lee gets up at 7:40. Oh no! He must be late for class. Mr. Lee doesn't have breakfast or take a shower. He runs to the bus stop quickly. Many people are at the stop, but there is no bus for Mr. Lee to take. So Mr. Lee takes the taxi.
Mr. Lee works at No.15 Middle School, but the taxi takes him to No.50 Middle School. At last, Mr. Lee gets to school at 8:35.
"I'm sorry, boys and girls. I'm late for school today," Mr. Lee says to his students. "Everyone can make mistakes(错误). From today on, I don't ask you never to be late for school. Please do your best not to be late. Can you do it?"
"Yes, we can," the class says happily.

Seeing is believing, but if our eyes don't work, how can we see to believe?
Today more and more kids wear glasses before going to middle school. Because they spend too much time watching TV or playing computer games without a rest. But we must do something to protect(保护) our eyes because they are important for us to see the world.
Love your eyes. Every day, when we open our eyes, we can see the lovely friends and parents, beautiful flowers and green trees. Without them, there is only darkness. It is like a house without any light. How important our eyes are!
Remember to rest your eyes. When you use the computer for an hour or two, it is time to stop to have a 30-minute rest. At school, you need to do eye exercises. Closing your eyes for resting is helpful, as well as looking at green trees or grass. In these ways, your eyes will feel relaxed.
Have good habits. When doing homework and reading, it is important to keep a distance(距离) of 30 cm between your eyes and books. We should never rub(摩擦) our eyes with dirty fingers. Before and after swimming, use eye drops. Eat something healthy for eyes, such as carrots, fish and eggs.
On weekends, many people usually spend some money going shopping. But there are some free and interesting things to do on weekends.
There are some things people can do in the park. Basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer may be sports for free. If we go to a big park, we can also fly kites.
Playing chess is popular with all ages. It's interesting and it helps us become smart. We can also play table tennis. It's not difficult but interesting. We can play these games at home.
Books can take you out the boring everyday life. Inside the local library there are many books for anyone to read.
If you like watching movies, you can stay at home and watch them on TV. It's relaxing to watch movies in your living room with some popcorn.
Is your guitar sitting in the corner? Why not pick it up and play it?If you have friends who also play instruments, why not meet together and have a good time?
A. Do some reading B. Play indoor games

The glasses can help you see 13 — there are some people in front of you, not 14 you."
The young man is ashamed (羞愧的) and his face turns 15. "I'm sorry, sir," he says to the old man. Then he walks to the back of the line and waits for the old man to draw for him again.
John is a schoolboy. He is funny, so everyone likes him very much. He can play many musical instruments, piano, guitar and violin. He's in the school music club and it usually takes him a lot of time ( practice) these instruments. When he is with (he) friends, he often plays them. Today is June 1st. It's (John) birthday. He has a big interesting party at home. Many friends come to his party. His mother cooks a lot of food for them.
