When we talk about reading, we probably think of eves because we do the reading with eyes. But we can do some reading with ears. too. With the development of smart phones, it's getting easier to do some reading with ears-by listening to stories, news, novels(小说) and so on. This is audio reading(有声阅读)
Many people like doing audio reading in bed before going to sleeping. They like to just stay in bed in the dark before they fall asleep. This would be the best time to do some audio reading. If you read a book made of paper, the lights have to be turned on and you have to turn the pages with your hand.
People can do audio reading when the legs, body and arms are kept busy. It is favorite when people are exercising or doing housework. Some people would like to do audio reading in the kitchen. They think it's boring to cook. So they can enjoy their time by listening to news or stories at the same time.
Also, audio reading is helpful for blind people who can't see clearly. It's difficult for them to do reading in the past. But now. with the help of audio reading, they can listen to what they want.
But be careful(当心)! Don't make yourself and others in danger. Let's take driving for example(例子). If you lose yourself in listening, you can't drive well. It is some times-dangerous(危险的)
①Seeing is believing (相信), but if our eyes don't work, how can we see to believe? Today more and more kids wear glasses before going to middle school. That's because they spend too much time watching TV or playing computer games without a rest. But we must do something to protect(保护) our eyes because they are important for us to see the world.
②Love your eyes. Every day, when we open our yes, we can see the lovely friends ad parents, beautiful flowers and green trees. Without them, there is only darkness(黑暗). It is like a house without any light. How important our eyes are!
③Remember to rest your eyes. When you use the computer for an hour or two, it is time to stop to have a30 minutes' rest. At school, you need to do eye exercises. Closing your eyes for resting is helpful, as well as looking at green trees or grass. In these ways, your eyes can feel relaxed.
④Have good habits. When doing homework and reading, it is important to keep a distance of 30 cm between your eyes and books. We should never rub(摩擦) our eyes with dirty hands. Before and after swimming, use eye drops. Eat something good for eyes, like carrots. fish and eggs. .
⑤The better we protect our eyes, the better live we are going to have.
A. Draw pictures about the animals in danger. B. Write to a newspaper. C. Watch your life habits. F. Read books and learn about animals. |
Some animals are in danger. Do you want to help save them? What can you do to help them?
Here are some ways:
Some animals are in danger, but many people don't know. So you can write to a newspaper and tell people the fact of animals in danger. When people know the fact, some of them can help cave animals too.
Put them up (张贴) at school, zoo, park and other places. When people see them, they know some animals are in danger and some of them will help to save them.
Then you can tell people around you the fact you learn and ask them to join you.
It's important to do things with other people to help the animals.
Don't buy things made of animal fur(皮毛). When you cat food, be careful what to eat.

They both laugh happily. "How thoughtful (体贴的) you are! It is so 15 to have a friend like you," they both say.
Mrs. Davis isn't very happy. She is sick and now she can't hear (something) She is very worried because she (have) a little baby daughter to look after(照看). The little girl just (turn)seven months old last week. When her daughter cries(哭), Mrs. Davis can't hear her. can she do? Who can help her? She would like someone (help) her.
(luck), Mrs. Davis gets Banjo then. Banjo is lovely dog. He is two years old and the white hair makes (he) look very clean. He can help people. How does the dog help Mrs. Davis? When the little girl cries, Banjo runs to Mrs. Davis and rises (直立) on its back legs. Banjo also "tells" Mrs. Davis when the telephone is ringing or when someone is (drop) by and knocking on their door. He can help Mrs. Davis lots of things.
