Once upon a time, there was a swan(天鹅). She lived in a lake. A woman with her two daughters lived in a1small house the lake. They lived a difficult life. Sometimes they 2 money to buy food.

In the 1950s, car culture spread across the US. With the rise of the country's economy, nearly every family could afford a car. This led people to create new businesses that depended on carsgas stations, auto shops, and some drive in res
These restaurants didn't have an indoor seating. You would drive your car to an outdoor "booth"—a parking spot with a menu displayed(展示) next to it. A waitress would come over (usually on roller skates) and take your order. She would then bring you your food and you would eat it in your car.
Eating in your car is seen as something to be done only when you're in a hurry these days. But back then, it was a new experience. Sitting in your brand-new vehicle, drinking delicious milkshakes and eating burgers became a trend(趋势). Like all trends, it died out eventually－most driveins have been replaced by drive-thrus (汽车餐厅)．
You already know two of the biggest drive-thru restaurant chains—McDonald's and KFC. They became popular as the pace of modern life increased in the 1970s and 1980s. They're not known for the experience that driveins once offered. They offer pure speed and convenience, especially for parents and other busy people.
I myself remember eating McDonald's for lunch in the back seat of my mom's car as we ran errands(办事)on the weekend. Though the convenience of drive-thrus is nice, I do wish I could have experienced the drive－in restaurants in the past.
Three Simple Words
I had to sit in the front row so that I could read the teacher's lips. Kids laughed at me because of my hearing aid and the way I talked.
I not only had trouble playing with my classmates, but also had difficulty reading the clock, and reading. I fell behind in the fourth grade.
But then Mrs Jordan let me pass. She made the way for my fifth grade. They changed my life forever.
On one sunny afternoon, she asked the class a question. I felt confident because一for once-I was sure I had the right answer. I took a deep breath and answered her question.
With a wide smile she cried, "That's right, Stephen!" For the first time in my young life, I felt like a star. After that day, not only my grades but also my speech improved greatly. My classmates began to look at me with respect.
It was amazing how three simple words changed my young life. That's right, Stephen! They got me to think: I would make a place for myself in this world no matter how many difficulties I had to overcome.

About the importance of health, nobody can explain (good) than your doctor. They are the people really know the importance of keeping fit. Every time I put on an extra pound, my doctor will remind me about is happening these days in my body. We may look well, but we don't know (clear) what is going on inside.
And there are many different ways we can make sure that we are as (health) inside as we are outside. The (one) and easiest step is keeping a good and balanced diet.
