How are you? Today I've got （exciting） news to tell you. Last monthuniversity in Australia (offer） me a scholarship for my further education. One hundred and twenty students took exam for it, but only a  students got the scholarship and I was one of them. I am so excited that I can't sleep. , my parents are(worry） about it. They say it is so far away that they will not see me for a whole year and they are afraid I will feel lonely. They can't allow such a young girl  (live) alone. They give me some (advice), and tell me to study in my hometown. Then I'll be to live with them.

Last week, my parents and I went to see a movie in a new theater a big screen and comfortable seats. We watched a popular Indian movie named Dangal. Luckily, there were not many people in it, so we bought (we) tickets quickly.

The movie comes from a true story. The father Mahavir Phogat is a wrestler (摔跤手). He finds his two girls are (talent) in wrestling and wants them to wrestle for the gold medal. So he takes everything (serious): he asks them to get up at 5 a.m. every day; he asks them to eat special (meal) to become stronger, he even asks his girls to wear boys' clothes and cut their hair! Both the two girls think of him as the (bad) father at first. But later they understand their father's love. At the end of the film, the elder sister becomes winner of the international (国际的) competition. Their dream comes true. Everybody in their country is very excited.

After (watch) the film, I understand my parents better. They are pretty strict with me just they truly care about me. Also, as students, it's important for us (keep) trying to get a bright future.

Friends are important to everyone. , some people may have trouble in keeping their friendships. Here are some tips on how to make your friendship (deep) and stronger.

★Be yourself. A lot of teens try (keep) the friendship once they become friends with some people. Your identity(身份) is always changing, but some of your personality will stay the same. Find out those things are, think hard about who you want to be, and then show your love (true) to the people around you.

★Avoid gossip (八卦). Friends shouldn't speak ill of other friends. If you've heard something bad about your friends, you should find a right way of (ask) them about it by (you). If you're not sure how to talk to them about it, ask a trusted friend for advice.

★Protect your friends. Very often, somebody doubts(怀疑) one of your ( friend). It's important to find out both sides of the story, but it's also a good chance to show your friend that you trust him by telling him.

★Return the care. There are times when friend will lend you a textbook, or a shoulder to cry on. A good friend will cheer you up when you're in trouble and listen patiently when your friend shares a problem you. Be sure you are as helpful as your friend, because he will take notice and feel good.

Every time I see people riding bicycles on the street, I always think of the time I (spend ) on my grandpa's old bike.

When I was little, my grandpa looked after me by(he) because my parents were both busy with their work. At that time, only  few people had cars. Most people usually got around  bike. And how did I go to the school then? I went there on grandpa's bike!  the bike was moving forward, it made some funny sounds that made me (laugh). New York is a very large city with 8 million people. Now let me try to tell you something about  (it) transport (交通).

In New York, you can travel around the city by underground, bus, taxi and car. The underground (run) on the railroad line under the city. It crosses the city at different points and goes to all parts of the city.

The  (two) way to travel around the city is by public bus. You can also travel around the city by taxi. This is the most expensive way, but the taxi will take you to many  (place) you want to go.    

The last way to get around New York is using your own car. But it's not easy for you  (drive), especially when you are driving in the "rush hour", you have to drive  (slowly) than usual. If there is an accident on the road, you will have to wait  a long time.

It's  good choice to travel around the city from 9 am to 4 pm. During this period, traffic won't be very heavy  most people are already at school or at work.

When I was in Grade Eight, I was not good at study. In fact, my teacher thought I was the  (bad) student. My family also had the same idea  my teachers.

A little girl thought she was not as beautiful as other girls, and nobody liked her. So she was unhappy. She always stayed at home alone and didn't like to talk to（someone）.
