It was wonderful to travel around Taiwan, China. I still remember my last trip to it.
First, I visited the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. China. It was built in 1962. It was completed in 1965. In this museum, you can find lots of exhibitions. It is said that the museum keeps about 600, 000 artworks. The workers of the museum say they change exhibitions every three months.
Yinke was the second place I visited. The town has 19—century European houses and has a lot of small streets as in old England.
It was a great experience to visit Keelung. The Keelung coasts are very famous for their wonderful scenes. There is also a seafood market. You can buy fresh products there.
Then I arrived at Danshui. The most interesting place of Danshui is Lovers' Bridge. The bridge connects one side of the river with the other side. It is about 40 meters long. However, only one person can cross it at a time.
I like Taiwan, China and I want to visit it again if I have time.
"Fine, I'll just do it all myself!" I thought when I stomped (跺脚) away.
My friends and I were trying to make the best cardboard (纸板) town to play in. We were turning cardboard boxes into stores and playgrounds and all kinds of fun things! We weren't working together well, though. I could hear them talking when I was walking away.
"Wow. I didn't think Johnny would get so angry, " Katie said. "We are just trying another way. "
"This should be fun, " said Max. "Johnny can't do it all by himself. Maybe if we give him some space, he'll want us to help again. "
Yeah, right. Because it was my idea, I would just do it without them. The only problem was that I wanted to finish it before Thanksgiving. I wanted to show it to all of my family when they came over.
Thanksgiving was two weeks away. I thought that the job was too big. I still needed to make the buildings with boxes, put them around the town, and decorate (裴饰) them. I couldn't finish everything by myself.
I guess that's why people work together. When we each had a job, this was fun and went a lot faster. Maybe I should say sorry to Katie and Max. They were just trying to help and have fun with me.
The next day at school. I said sorry to Katic and Max.
"I don't know why I got so angry. Building a town should be fun. Will you come back to my house today to finish our town?" I asked.
"Sure, Johnny. " they said.
We all took on a role and finished the town quickly. It was great!
a. Johnny thought about what happened.
b. Johnny went away angrily.
c. Johnny said sorry to his friends.
d. Friends talked about Johnny.
It was a warm spring day in 2021. Chen Beier, a reporter from Hong Kong, was on her way to a small village called Atule'er. The small village sits at the top of a high cliff (悬崖). People can only get up to it by climbing a 2, 556—step steel ladder (钢梯). It is very dangerous.
So, was Chen looking for adventure (冒险) there? The answer is no. The reporter was trying to show people something.
In February 2021. China got rid of poverty (摆脱贫困),Many people couldn't believe this, because China has a large number of poor villages. To show the truth to people, Chen went to make No Poverty Land.
The trip was so hard. When she was halfway up the ladder to Atul'er, for example, Chen felt so tired that she could hardly go any further. She was also afraid of heights. The villagers advised her to stop the climb, but the woman didn't stop.
This steel ladder, in fact, is only six years old. Before it was built, the villagers had to face even bigger danger and use a rattan (藤条制成的) ladder. The government (政府) also built houses for the villagers at the foot of the mountain Through No Poverty Land, people can easily see how life in poor places of China has been improved.
China has changed (改变) a lot, but some people just find it hard to believe. Now, Chen has shown us what we can do about that: Don't just tell people about the great changes, show them when you can.

The days of winter are here. Millions of Americans don't feel as active as usual, and may be down. If you're one of them, you may have "seasonal affective disorder"(季节性情感障碍). Here are some good ways to fight against it.
It's important to stay active during the winter months. Ride to school. Go on weekend hikes with family or friends. Take a winter camping trip. Just don't sleep all day!
If you're going out less in the evenings, then you would have more time to read books you wish you could read. Make winter your reading season.
This might sound environment—unfriendly, but if it drives depression (沮丧) away and makes you happy, it's worthwhile (值得的). Using LED bulbs will be a good idea.
You may feel surprised or even laugh aloud, but this is real. Nothing is more terrible than having cold feet. It's better to get a few great pairs of wool (羊毛的) socks that will keep your feet warm and dry all day long
To fight against "seasonal affective disorder", do you have any great ideas?
Try to list one: (不超过 15个词)
