A young man ordered and packed his breakfast at a local noddle house and got much more than he expected.
On April 8, TikTok user Andy Xu shared a video about his trip to a noodle house in Hangzhou. In the video, which has over 2.3 million views, Andy is shocked by what he finds in his to-go bag instead of breakfast: thousands of yuan.
"Why? There's a couple of thousand yuan here," Andy said, "Why would they do this? Why would they give this to me?" Andy shared his shocking discovery on TikTok. He knew that ▲ , but finally, he said he knew what he needed to do.
"Now I have to return it because I'm a good person, I guess," Andy said, putting the money back in the bag.
After he walked into the noodle house, he gave the bag to a worker at the door. The worker realized he's returning the cash they had been looking for. With the relieved and thankful smiles on their faces, one staff person asked if they could give him a hug—which he accepted.
Back in the car, Andy reflected on what he had done. "They were just all hugging me and thanking me," he said. "When I was driving away, they called me back in. They gave me ¥300 as well as free noodles for a month."
The TikTok video ended with Andy sharing what he believes to be the lesson of the story. "Do good, people. Returned ¥3,000, got ¥300 and free noodles for a month," he said. "Good trade value and maybe a meaningful TikTok video."
Oil spills (泄漏) are harmful to ocean life. Lately, after an oil spill in the Australian waters, scientists said that the oil was making the life of the little blue penguins in the south of Australia.
A penguin has shiny feathers (羽毛) that are covered in natural oils. The feathers help them keep out water and keep them warm in the icy waters. Oil from a spill destroys these natural oils and the penguin can't protect itself from the cold. And, as it cleans its feathers using its beak (喙), it is possible to take in the harmful oil and die.
After an oil spill, people have to pull out the penguins from the oil and clean them. Then, one of the most important jobs is to make them healthy and strong again before letting them go back into the wild. But the workers at the Phillip Island National Park found another way.
The workers actually dressed up the penguins in tiny sweaters. These sweaters are very helpful in keeping the penguins warm and preventing them from taking in the harmful oil. Because they can't get enough suitable sweaters, the designs of these special penguin sweaters were put on the Internet. Lots of people from different parts of the world sent sweaters which were made by themselves for these tiny birds.
Of course, if you visit Phillip Island, you are not going to see penguins walking around in sweaters. This clothing is used only when a penguin has just been saved from an oil spill. Once the penguins are cleaned and dressed in the sweaters, they are put in salt-water pools to help them become healthy. As they swim around and become stronger, the salt water gradually takes down the sweaters. By the time, the penguins are ready to return to the ocean, their natural oils are back and they go home dressed only in their feathers.
①Send them back until they're strong enough.
②Dress them in the sweaters.
③Clean them.
④Pull them out from the oil.
⑤Put them in salt-water pools
①Smile! A smile is the most fascinating part of your face. But sometimes you don't want to smile. Why? Because your teeth are crooked (不整齐的)? Have you seen some kids with a mouthful of metal? These are called braces. Today, doctors can work wonders with your teeth. Just as you go to a doctor with an upset stomach or an eye doctor to test your eyes, your teeth also needs attention and care.
②Teeth help in eating. Crooked teeth will not allow you to chew food properly, so some unchewed food will go down to your stomach. Besides, crooked teeth are difficult to clean and hurt the gums (牙龈). Space between the teeth is also dangerous. Sometimes food get stuck between the teeth. If you do not take it out with a normal brushing, they may do great harm to the teeth.
③The best time to solve the problem is when you are a child and your teeth haven't completely set. It may be from 8 to 14 years of age. By 12 or 13 years of age or so, the milk teeth falls out and permanent teeth come in. It is also at this age that the jaw (下巴) is growing. As a child is growing, his jaws is still weak and reshaping is easier.
④The dentist corrects the teeth by spreading your mouth with braces so that the teeth fit in correctly in its place. Putting pressure to the jaw makes the jaw grow in the direction of the pull.Putting braces helps change the shape of your jaw.
⑤Teeth can be corrected at any age. However, as you get older it takes longer time and hurts more. The older you are, the more painful it gets as the jaws and permanent teeth have set.
