However, when I saw my sister preparing for the kite-flying 5 , I decided to give it a try.
When we got to the park, the wind was still strong. It was 6 for her to control the string (线) of the kite, so the kite soon fell down.
I thought my sister would stop 7 . But she tried to fly the kite again. 8 her face turned dark red because of the cold weather, she didn't mind it.
After some time, she became 9 . But again and again, she picked up the kite and gave it another try. In the end, the kite flew up high just against the wind. At that moment, I 10 the famous saying,"Where there's a will, there's a way."

Among a world of colours, red stands out the most. The fresh and pure colour is a symbol of energy. In China, red is really important and people call it "China Red". Chinese people are crazy about the colour not only because of its special features (特征) but also because of its rich meanings in Chinese culture and history.
The ancient Chinese used the colour red a lot. Red is the colour of fire. It could also bring warmth and light and drive away wildlife in ancient times. Yandi, one of the Chinese ancestors (祖先), was also called Chidi. This name came from fire. Ancient people not only used the red paint to produce rock paintings, but also had their home with red things, such as the Chinese knots (结), lanterns and paper-cutting.
In ancient China, black, red, green, white and yellow were regarded as (被视为...... ) special colours and red was highly praised. These five colours were believed to have a relationship with the rise and fall of the Chinese dynasties. Each dynasty had its main colour. Green was the colour of the Xia Dynasty. When the Shang Dynasty took the place of the Xia Dynasty, white became the preferred colour. And in the Zhou Dynasty, people loved red. Later, the Qin Dynasty was established, and the preferred colour became black. In the Western Han Dynasty, yellow was the main colour. However, red was used the most times as the preferred colour, like the Zhou, the Eastern Han, the Song and the Ming dynasties, As time went by, red became a colour of power.
In China, red is now more than just a colour. It's a symbol of Chinese spirit.
What will the world of tomorrow look like? Many people today believe that technology is going to help solve some of the most difficult problems we have on the earth today. New technology may solve old problems, and it may also create new ones. ____ Each has advantages and disadvantages, as these three examples.
When we dream about the future, many of us think that we will be able to fly to the skies in our own personal flying cars. We could fly at 480 km per hour, avoiding traffic lights and busy roads. However, there will be problems with traffic control.
3D printing is another new technology for the future. 3D printers are already used to make life-size models of car parts, and man-made body parts, such as ears. As we move into the future, 3D printing will change the way we make things and the way we treat sick people. The disadvantage is that such a machine is very expensive.
Finally, people are trying to build a robot suit. This is an electronic suit. It allows people to lift heavy things and walk a long way. It might help people walk again after an illness or an accident. However, one disadvantage at the moment is the cost.
Looking ahead, it is easy to imagine a future. We'll be able to fly to work, print out a new pair of shoes or lift a car above our heads. Although there are some problems to solve before all of this is possible, we can certainly dream of a world. In this world, technology makes people's lives easier and safer. It can solve some of the most difficult problems we have today.
①Produce electricity. ②Lift heavy things. ③Walk a long way. ④Walk again after an illness.

As Chinese, I am sure you know something about tai chi. It's a kind of sport as well as one of the of Chinese culture.
Tai chi is common in China. You might see people doing these beautiful actions if you walk through a park. They are doing tai chi, an art called wushu. Doing tai chi is good for our health and helps us relax ourselves from pressure. Tai chi also mixes actions and deep breaths (呼吸) .
But tai chi is more than a kind of sport. It shows we see the world as well. The world is full of yin and yang. Tai chi sets up good relationships between yin and yang, while they aren't opposite. The sun will rise a dark night. Leaves fall in autumn but they grow in spring. Everything keeps changing. Yin and yang depend on each other and make a difference to each other. That is why humans can get on well with and people can use softness to beat hardness. Tai chi makes full use of yin and yang.
Tai chi has been practiced about 600 years in China. Millions of people in more than 150 practise tai chi. And more people are to join in tai chi and pass it on. It is getting more and more popular in the world.
