Day 1
I'm sitting in my tent. We're camping tonight in the outback(内陆)of Australia. You think I'm relaxed? No! I'm now because there are dangerous snakes and spiders out there! How terrible!
We started from Darwin at 7:00 this morning and we've been at the campsite for three hours now. We've just had a wonderful under the stars! Tomorrow we're travelling to the beach, so my mum can do her work.
Day 4
This morning, Dad and I went snorkelling(浮潜)for the third time in the sea. It has been every time! We've seen lots of different fish and we've seen two turtles since Tuesday! My mum says we are lucky because the number of turtles is greatly in this part of Australia. She's working hard to find out why turtles and fish are dying. My mum also collects bits of rubbish from the beach and sea. She does on it to see if it has something harmful to the turtles.
Can't wait for tomorrow — Dad and I are going out on a boat trip. But mum still has to work.

Rachel: Yeah.
Serena: Really? But I prefer learning together with my classmates. What about teachers?
Rachel: They know a lot and won't feel tired.
Serena: But they are emotionless(没有情感的).I don't like them.
Rachel: Hmm, I think so. But there'll be fewer traditional pencil-and-paper tests.
Serena: Wow, I love learning by doing! Can't wait to meet the future school!
Rachel: Me,too.

"Want to play soccer?" Nick asked Tim after school. "The person to get the most goals(进球)out of ten is the winner. Loser buys the winner something from the school bakery. "
"Sounds like fun, " Tim agreed.
Nick started the 1 and missed a shot(射门). Tim isn't a real player, Nick thought. I don't have to try very hard. He missed a second shot, then another before finishing his turn.
"I got 2 out of ten, " Nick said with a smile. "Your turn. "
Tim placed the ball on the grass, took a deep breath, and kicked. The ball flew straight into the goal. "3 " Nick rolled his eyes(翻白眼)and looked pretty confident.
Tim took his time on every shot, missing one, making one, then making another. When he got seven goals, Nick began to feel a little 4 . When Tim's final shot flew into the goal. Nick's stomach dropped.
"Eight out of ten! I can't believe I beat you, " Tim laughed. "It's a real version(版本)of the story 5 . "
"What do you mean?" Nick said.
"You think I'm weak, so you didn't try your best. That's why you lost, just like what happened in the story, " Tim answered with a smile.
"I won't do that again, " Nick 6 as they headed to the school bakery. Nick learned his lesson.
The capybara is the world's largest species of rodent(啮齿动物). It has a short head with small ears, and it can grow to be over four feet long.
Capybaras are plant eaters, and grasses are the main food in their d. Capybaras have two pairs of large incisor teeth to bite off grasses, tree bark, and other plants.
Capybaras are s animals and live in large groups. A group usually has one father, one or two mothers and their babies. The members of the group are close to each other.
Capybaras are great swimmers. In fact, they spend lots of time in the water. The water keeps them cool during the hot day, and it provides water plants for them to eat. They also stay in water for s. They can go below the surface to hide from predators(捕食者) such as jaguars and ocelots. A capybara's eyes, ears and nose are near the top of its head. This helps capybaras breathe and keep watch for predators while swimming underwater. Still, they have to be c all times because many of its predators are good hunters in water. When danger is near, capybaras can d to the bottom of a riverbed. They can hold their breath for five minutes before returning to the surface for air.
Dear Mrs. Mason,
I know my fidget spinner hit Janelle's desk and broke her science project. It was an accident. Everyone just wanted to see how far it would fly.
Lots of kids have special things for school. My friends Jason and Ben have to wear glasses. And Kelly has a stress ball. My friend Corey has a spinner to help him focus(集中注意)and relax. He said his parents and teachers thought this was good for him. You should know that sometimes I get a little antsy(坐立不安的), too — just like him. Mom told me it's because of all the sugar in my food. My spinner helps me relax and sit still, especially after my third bowl of yogurt.
My spinner also helps me feel better about myself. Once Corey taught me a trick. I need to throw my fidget spinner in the air and catch it with my knee while it's still spinning. It took days of practice to get it right. I worked so hard that I had no time for homework. You know what? Finally, I did it!
Janelle says she is not angry. She says the robot only took her a week to make. I even asked her to help me later with my unfinished homework. She said "yes"! Could you please give my fidget spinner back now, Mrs. Mason? Please?
Sincerely,
Noah
