①Like many other dogs, Scruff loves to play with plastic bottles. David Grant and his wife Yvonne Faulkner-Grant always let their 13-year-old dog pick up the plastic bottles he finds while out on their daily walks.

②In 2021, David and Yvonne noticed Scruff could find even the most well-hidden bottles. They also noticed there was more and more litter in their town. They couldn't believe that people were littering(乱扔) so much since they were both taught never to drop their trash as children.

③At the start of 2022, David and Yvonne decided to start picking up the bottles. They also decided to train Scruff to gather other people's trash.

④"When he picked a bottle up in 2021, he would carry it for a while and then drop it again. People would think we were dropping litter. But it wasn't our litter," said Yvonne, "so we got him to start bringing the bottles to us and we put them in a bag and then counted them up."

⑤Since starting this journey, Scruff has become famous in his neighborhood. Everybody loves him.

⑥ ▲  They hope that more people will hear scruff's story and either stop dropping the trash or, perhaps, try picking it up themselves. What's more, they think Scruff has taken on his duties so well that other dogs could easily be trained to do what he does as well.

⑦"We walk the same route(路线) every day and he finds bottles on that route every day," said David. "We feel proud that we are picking them up, but a bit angry that they're even there," Yvonne agrees.

⑧Scruff has collected1,334 bottles. David and his wife think Scruff has done a really great job.

⑨And so do we! Picking up litter while taking a walk is a healthy habit that many of us could add to our lives.

People have been looking up and trying to explain what they see in the sky since probably the beginning of time. That would make astronomy(天文学) human's oldest science, much older than art, math, etc.

Here are a few tips to get you started with amateur(业余爱好的) astronomy.

Tip 1 Pick your location

Try to find a place where there aren't too many lights. You may need to know your location's brightness using the Bortle scale (波特尔暗空等级). The Bortle scale is a way of measuring(测量) the brightness of the night sky for a location. It uses a nine-level scale where"1"means the darkest skies available on Earth. The higher the level, the brighter the sky, and the harder to see stars. You can go to www.lightpollutionmap.info    to look up your location's Bortle level.

Tip 2 Get oriented

Knowing where north, east, south and west are from your location is also important. The planets rise and set just like the sun. Learning which bright stars and constellations(星座) are able to be seen as the seasons changes will help as well.

Tip 3 Choose your equipment

The most common and useful equipment are good star apps on your mobile phone. These star apps can tell you what is able to be seen from your location at night, and where to look. You can also find information from your location websites. Of course, binoculars(双筒望远镜) and telescopes(望远镜) can also help you to see more.

Tip 4 Other helpful tips

Planets like Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Venus are all quite easy to spot in the night sky when they are in position. If you see something that looks brighter than all the other stars, it's quite likely a planet.

Natural objects aren't only things to look for through binoculars and telescopes. You'll often see satellites(人造卫星) passing overhead, and can even see the International Space Station as it passes above you.

Sit back and get relaxed!

These days, we easily feel stressed as we get more and more work to do. It's important to know how to solve problems and find ways to relax.

First, we should try organizing our work from most important to least important as well as most urgent(紧急的) to least urgent.  As soon as those are done, work on things that are important but not urgent. Then, do things that are less important and less urgent. This makes us know what to do first and not worry about the rest.

Still, sometimes we feel stressed even after organizing our work. That's okay.  Because exercise helps a lot in forgetting about our problems. It doesn't even have to be a big trip to the gym, although that surely helps. It could be something as small as walking around the neighborhood for 10 to 20 minutes.

Finally, we can try meditation(冥想).  Just set aside 10 to 20 minutes with an alarm clock, sit straight, close our eyes, and focus only on breathing. If other thoughts come up, accept that they are there and let them fly away on their own. .

By trying these steps, we will certainly feel peaceful when finishing all of the work.

It was Sunday afternoon. Maggie sat, putting her 1 into the blue water of her family's new swimming pool. She had been expecting the pool for months. 2 , she didn't feel so happy.

March 22nd is World Water Day. Water is the root(根) in Chinese culture. It  the Chinese civilization(文明).

Chinese civilization is one of the world's ancient river civilizations. It began thousands of years ago  the Yellow and Yangtze rivers, linking the culture to water from its beginning.

However, the way has two sides. Water is highly necessary for life and growing things, but if you don't use it , it will cause big problems. Knowing this, Chinese people have always tried to use it in the best way. Yu, the first ruler of Xia Dynasty, controlled floods by changing and digging the waterways  the water could easily go into the sea. The Dujiangyan irrigation system(灌溉系统) in Sichuan was also a good example of making full use of the to protect the environment of the area.

Is there anyone around you wearing a horse-faced skirt? It is a (典型) kind of hanfu clothing. It is now so welcomed both at home and a, like America, England and so on.

On March 6, a Douyin (报道) showed an amazing result. Researchers c the order for horse-faced skirts with that of the past year, it went up by 841 percent.

As hanfu becomes popular, traditional and modern fashions(时尚) are coming (朝；向) us together. This has changed not only clothing styles, but also people's cultural ideas.

Some hanfu lovers think it's (完美) that each design(设计) of hanfu has its own cultural meaning while other buyers consider style and comfort more important.

Zhou Shuang, 37, designs character clothes for film and television. She said that for those who don't know much about traditional clothing, it's understandable that they want to mix ancient (美) and modern fashion. This is known as the neo-Chinese style. "Neo-Chinese style is a great s that wins so many people's heart. It puts together modernity and tradition naturally," said Zhou.

"I r that there are so many people wearing horse-faced skirts on the streets, from young women to children . It's (难以置信)." said Wang Zicheng, a 23-year-old hanfu lover.

Long ago, a king got two special baby eagles(鹰) as a gift. The king loved them very much. He invited  experienced keeper to look after them.

As time passed, the king noticed that both eagles grew big and looked even (amazing) than before. The king hoped to see the eagles fly. However, as the keeper set (they) free, one eagle flew high into the sky while the other flew a few meters before returning to its starting branch(树枝).

The king wanted (know) why. The keeper answered, "This eagle always has this problem. It refuses to fly high." The (two) day, the king told people that anyone who could help the other eagle fly high would get great (prize). Many people came, studied and tried,  no one succeeded. The king began to lose hope.

Then one day, something strange happened. The king (see) both eagles flying high in the sky. He couldn't believe his eyes and called the keeper over. The keeper explained that a farmer had made it and then brought him to the king. The king asked the farmer, "How did you do this?" He replied, "I (simple) cut down the branch where the eagle was used to sitting.  no branch, it had to fly. And it did very well."
