Dear Mike,
I'm glad to receive your letter and know your unforgettable (难忘的) experience. Now I'd like to share mine. Last Friday, I was cleaning my room and found an old photo in a drawer. While I was looking at it, the 1 memory of that day came back to me.
It was my mother's birthday eight years ago, and I decided to give her a 2 with a home-made birthday cake. I 3 early and quietly went to the kitchen. I had never 4 anything like this before, so I tried to copy 5 she did it. However, I failed.
The moment I was going to throw everything 6, my mother came in. I showed her the 7 and told her what happened. Surprisingly, she tasted it and said it wasn't 8! I guessed she didn't just want to discourage me. In fact, we ended up 9 and ate it up.
This week is her 10 birthday. I'll make a birthday cake for her again, and this time I will make it.
I'm looking forward to your reply!
Yours,
Lucy

As a traditional and meaningful board game, Weiqi was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and it is still played until today.
The playing pieces are called stones. One player uses the white stones and the other, black. The players take turns to play the stones on the game board. As we know, the board surface has 361 cross points. The stones are placed on them.
Weiqi is also called Go in the world. Learning it can not only improve people's logical thinking ability, but it can also develop their calm character. That's why it is more and more popular with modern people.
In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Weiqi traveled to Japan, and then to Europe in the 19th century. Now it has grown into an international competition event. So far, people from over 40 countries have played it. Among them, players from China, Japan and South Korea have the highest level of Weiqi.
On February 19, Chinese-English Dictionary of Weiqi Term (术语) came out in Beijing. It's the first professional dictionary about Weigi in China. As a symbol of Chinese culture, Weiqi has its special language. It also has its own way of thinking and the method of communicating. The dictionary will serve as a necessary tool and bridge for spreading Weiqi culture.
Every living thing needs to reproduce (繁殖) . Reproducing means creating more members of your group. In order for plants to reproduce, they have to spread their seeds (种子) to other areas. Plants have developed all kinds of ways to do this.
The simplest way is gravity (重力) . Many seeds are inside of fruit. When fruit gets too heavy, it falls from a tree to the ground. Sometimes animals will pick up the fruit and drop it in another area. That helps move the seed even farther away. Apples spread this way.
Other plants use wind to spread their seeds. Dandelions (蒲公英) are a good example of this. Dandelion seeds are so light that when wind blows, it carries dandelion seeds to new places. Maple (枫树) seeds also use wind. Their seeds are connected with long, thin leaves that look like wings. When the seed falls from the tree, its "wings" help it fly farther from the tree.
Some animals help plants spread their seeds. The animals eat the seeds. While the seed is in the animal's body, it stays whole. When the seed leaves the animal, it's in a new place.
Ants also help spread seeds. Some seeds have a special smell that appeals to ants. The ants bring the seeds back to their home, which of course is underground. They only eat part of the seed. They leave the rest of the seed underground. After that, the seed can start growing.
World Book Day is an event organized by the United Nations to encourage book reading, publishing and copyright. The first World Book Day was 23rd April, 1995 and it is celebrated every year on that day. It changes people's lives through the love of books and reading. Every year on World Book Day, children around the world get together and read their favorite books. Some organizations work hard to give every child a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is important for a young person's future success—more important than their parents' educational background or the money they make.

Sports play an important part in children lives. If children |
|
join in a sport, he will learn how to deal with failure. Even |
|
if they work hardly to learn the skills for a sport, it doesn't |
|
mean they will always win. Sports also helped them see |
