Samantha is feeling upset. She loses the key to her diary(日 记), She tries to find it in her bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen, but she can't find it.
Samantha tries to retrace(潮) her steps from the day before. She remembers going to the library and reading some storybooks. Then, she stops at the ice cream shop on the way home. Reading can take you on amazing trips and bring you to new worlds. It can inspire(激励) you and help you understand different perspectives(观点).
For Lily, she loves reading, One day, Lily's teacher asks the class to read a book about a girl who has a big dream. Lily chooses a book about a girl who wants to be an astronaut(宇航员). As she reads the book, Lily feels excited about the ideas of exploring(探索) space. She wants to read more about space and she wants to be an astronaut in the future too.
Lily also learns a lot from reading. She reads about people with different cultures(文化). It can help her understand and respect(腺) other people from different places. She also reads books about feelings It helps her understand her own feelings and learn how to cope with (处理)them.
Lily thinks that reading is a magic tool. It can open up new worlds. She can't wait to read more interesting books and learn more from them!
