I'm happy to be here today to share my experience with you. Three years ago, my doctor told me that I had to lose weight to stay healthy. So, I made up my mind that I would change my lifestyle(生活方式).
I believe that the key to losing weight is having a positive(积极的) mind. During the past three years, whenever I faced difficulties, I would encourage(鼓励) myself. That's how I could keep going.
Next, I had to change my diet(饮食). I threw away all of the junk food in my house. When I went shopping, I only bought healthy food for myself. I suggest that when you get home, you should check the food in your fridge. Will help you become the healthy person you want to be?
Lastly, I also started exercising. I tried to get out of my room. At first, it was difficult for me. But as time went by, I started doing more and more exercise. Now, I'm able to run 5 kilometres everyday.
Losing weight is all about making the right choices for your health. I've made it. And I want to tell you that you can, too!
An old man told everyone in his village that his young neighbour was a thief(小偷). As a result, the young man was taken to police station. Days later, the man was set free(释放), as the police found that he hadn't stolen(偷窃) anything.
After going home, the young man sued(起诉) the old man for calling him a thief.
In court (法庭) , the old man told the judge(法官), “They were just words. They didn't harm anyone. ” The judge told the old man, “Write down all the things you said about him on a piece of paper. Cut up (切碎) the paper and on your way home, throw the pieces of paper on the ground. Tomorrow, come back here to hear your sentence(判决). ”
The next day, the judge told the old man, “Before hearing your sentence, you will have to go out and find all the pieces of paper that you threw on the ground yesterday. ”
The old man said, “I can't do that! The wind blew(吹) them away and I won't know where to find them. ”
The judge then said, “In the same way, the simple words can ruin (破坏) a man's image(形象) . If you can't speak well of someone, don't say anything at all. ”
Let's all be masters of (控制) our mouths so that we won't be slaves(奴隶) of our words.
People in the city often travel by car, bus or bike. People near the sea travel by ship or boat. People in the snowy north have to use sleds. How do people often travel in the desert? Yes! Camels who are large animals living in dry areas can help.
Camels' body structure is different. Camels are very strong animals with wide, padded feet. They have thick leathery pads on their knees and chest. Camels have nostrils that can open and close, protecting them from the desert environment. Bushy eyebrows and two rows of long eyelashes protect their eyes from sand. Their mouth is extremely tough, allowing camels to eat thorny desert plants. Their widened feet help them move without sinking into the sand. Their thick coats stop sunlight, and also protect them from the heat from desert sand. Their long legs help keep them further from the hot ground.
Another is camels' adaptability. Camels are quite well-adapted to long travelling. Camels can go without food and water for 3 to 4 days. There are two kinds of camels. One is the Arabian camel with a hump. The other is the Bactrian camel with two humps. People commonly believe camels store water in their humps. In fact, the humps are actually full of fat, which gives camels power when they go through the desert. Camels are also quite well-adapted to their environment. When weather changes, camels can change their own body temperature, which stops sweating and water loss. They may not sweat at all during the day.
Because of these above, camels can carry people or things through the hot, dry deserts of the world. They are sometimes called "ships of the desert".
However, camels are in danger! The number of camels is becoming smaller for many reasons...

Jing, mostly male, is the face-painted role, and is the special role who is a history hero, such as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, or Bao Gong. Chou is the comedy actor or clown with funny painted face. They mainly make the audience laugh and happy.
Beijing Opera roles usually wear fantastic costumes. They act, dance or fight with special singing and different body language. Besides special singing, fantastic costumes and different body language, Beijing Opera is full of interesting stories, and fairy tales from the old times, such as the dynasties Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing. It's no secret that there is a space(空间) problem in Manhattan(曼哈顿). People build up higher and higher buildings because there isn't much land left and there is no room to build out. So people have been building lots of tall and thin buildings. Developers(开发商)are trying to build higher and higher buildings. However, the government has made laws(法律)that don't allow developers to build too high buildings.
Oiio Studio thinks about things differently, "what if our buildings were not tall but long?" So the founder of Oiio Studio, Ioannis Oikonomou, design(设计) a U-shaped building, the Big Bend. It would be a very thin building. It would curve at the top and return to the ground. Oikonomoussaid he thought of the great idea because he learned from a piece of news. It said that a company made a lift that could travel in curves. So he designed the Big Bend. He thought it as "the longest building in the world". It would be 4000 feet from end to end and would need a different lift system.
We can't change the law, _______________. So if we can bend(使弯曲) our building, we would be able to build one of the most amazing buildings in Manhattan," Oiio Studio said.
The Big Bend is just an idea for now. Oikonomous has sent the plans to a few companies, and is looking for developers. If successful, they will build the Big Bend around West 5TStreet, just to the south of Central Park.
