Do you like keeping pets? According to the survey, fish is one of the most popular choices in the pet world.

Why do people keep fish?

People keep dogs and cats because they enjoy their friendship. Fish cannot be friendly but they have beautiful shapes and colors. They are a pleasure to watch as they swim in their tanks.

What do they need?

First of all, the fish need a suitable(合适的) tank and you must fill the tank with suitable water. It is also good for them to have a few water plants in the tank to keep the water clean. A few snails in the tank are a good idea, too. They will keep it clean.

What about feeding them?

There are many kinds of fish food that you can get in pet shops. Most are suitable for all kinds of fish. You should feed your fish once a day only. It is important not to give them too much food. Just give them as much as they can eat in about 15 minutes. This will keep them healthy.

Nancy's mother often wrote books on the computer. It worked very well. There was only one problem—it was boring for Nancy. 

The computer was gray. It was not beautiful at all. Nancy didn't like ugly（丑的）things. So she wanted to make her mother's computer beautiful. "Mom is going to love it," she said to herself. 

The first problem was the colour. Nancy wanted a pink computer. But Mom's favourite color was purple. So Nancy got out her pens and started colouring the computer purple. 

"Much better!" she said as she finished. Then she drew some stars—blue, pink and red all over the computer. 

"Nice!" said Nancy. "What's next?" It only took her a moment to get the answer. "Hats!" Nancy's mom liked to wear hats and Nancy was good at drawing hats. She drew different kinds of hats all over Mom's computer. She believed（认为）the purple computer with a lot of stars and hats was the most beautiful. 

"Nancy? What are you doing with my computer?"

"Look, Mom! I made it beautiful. Do you love it?" Nancy asked happily. 

Nancy's mom couldn't believe her eyes. She took a deep breath for a moment and asked patiently（耐心地）, "Can you tell me why you do so?"

"I want you to be happier to work with this beautiful computer." "Thank you. I love it very much." Mom said and smiled.

Children around the world use lots of different forms of transport（交通工具） to go to school bus, train，helicopter（直升飞机）! How do you go to school? 

My name is Diego. I live in a small village in Peru. My village is in the Amazon rainforest （热带雨林）.There are not many roads in the rainforest. So there aren't many cars or buses. Everyone travels by boat. Every day a big boat collects all the children from the villages along the river and takes them to school. There are usually about forty children in the boat when it reaches the school. Every morning, I wait near the river for the boat with my little sister and brother. It takes about half an hour to get to school. I do my homework on the way to school and I talk to my friends on the way home.

I'm Haruka and I'm from Tokyo in Japan. Tokyo is a big city. My school is a long way from my house. So I travel to school by train every day. Trains are very popular in Japan. Lots of people use trains to get to work and school. The trains in Japan are clean and fast, but they are usually very crowded with too many people. I leave home at half past seven every day. I walk to the train station with my brother. The train journey takes about one hour. It's a long time but some of my friends travel for two hours to get to school! I like my journey to school because I can talk to my brother on the way.

In the US, Bike to School Day is a school festival.  On that day, students need to ride to school. But if they have no bikes or live far from school, they can walk to school or take school buses. 

 It's a green way because it doesn't cause pollution (引起污染). It is also fun to ride bikes.  Most importantly, biking is really good for their health. For today's students, it takes them much time to play phone games or watch TV shows at home. 

Some students also ask their parents to go to work by bike on that day. After that, lots of parents get into a habit of riding.  After buying an old bike for only fifty to one hundred dollars, they can ride it to work every day. And a new bike doesn't take too much money, either. It's great to have one.

Gongming Yi is a great musician. He is good at playing the guqin. One day, he goes out for a walk and sees a cow eating grass. Gongming Yi feels happy, so he plays the guqin. The music is very 1 , but the cow doesn't show any interest. It is just eating grass.

"Why doesn't the cow listen to the music? Don't I play it 2 ?" Gongming Yi asks.
