Jamie was tired. She had been on her feet for hours. Her mom（拥有）a small but busy restaurant in town. Three of the workers were（生病）that morning. There was a big food festival in the city park that day, and Jamie was a big（迷） of it. But Jamie's mom asked her to do some（杂务）at the restaurant.
Jamie simply wanted to sit down for a while. （代替）, she walked around the restaurant with no break.As soon as she（清理）one table, a new set of customers（顾客）walked in. That meant more orders and more coffee.

"Wake up, Jamie," her mom said. "I know you don't want to be here, but I need your help. "Jamie felt sorry, and she realized nothing is more important than the family. Then she worked harder and more happily.
Once upon a time, there were lots of animals in the forest. One (晴朗的) afternoon, a young deer an old deer were (躺) under a tree. Suddenly, they heard some sounds of dogs' barking.
The old deer stood up quickly because he felt quite afraid and (紧张的). He said to the young deer, "Hurry up! It's time to find a safe place to hide in. The barking dogs are terrible and they will hurt us."
The young deer laughed and said, "Why should we hide from the dogs? We are (更大的) and stronger than them. We can throw them aside with our big antlers(鹿角). We should fight with them (勇敢地).
The old deer thought highly of the spirit of the young deer, but he did not believe the young. "We'd better run away now." said the old deer.
The young deer (拒绝) to run away. He decided to fight against the dogs. He was just standing there (与…同时) the dogs were running to him. Then he put down his antlers and wanted to throw them aside. But to his (惊讶), he didn't win the fight because there were too many dogs. The dogs killed him in the end.
We can learn a lesson from the story. (每个人) should know their own strength and weakness. When we are in danger, don't be (像) the silly young deer. The young deer died because he didn't know his strength and weakness.
In (古代的) times, there was a king who had two sons. He (邀请) famous teachers to teach them. After a few years, the king fell badly(生病的) . So he wanted to choose one of his sons as the next king, but which one would be the right (人)? He thought it over for a whole night. At last, he decided (测验，考查) his sons.
One day, he gave a room to each of them, "You must (填满)the room with anything you wish. But there should be no space left and you can't ask for(建议) from anyone!" The next day the king and the (主后) visited their elder son's room. The room was full of (柔软的)grass. The king felt sorry about it. Then they went to the other room, but it was closed. He realized: Wisdom(智慧) is more valuable than simple answers that are easy to get.
Some parents think their children should just study hard and stay away from other things. These children spend most of their time on study (独自). They may do really well at school, but they are not able to do (几个； 一些) chores at home, such as sweeping the floor, (折叠) their clothes and so on.
However, children are not the machines of study or (轮子) of buses. They can't grow up healthily under great study pressure. (而且), parents can't do everything for their children. Everybody expects you to be special or perfect. Today I want to say something about myself. I think it's not easy to be an(宇航员) son. I often wonder how my father ever had a son like me. I mean he's so special and so good at everything he does.

When you face illnesses, difficulties and so on, your happiness begins to lose and your (心脏) begins to grow heavy. (没有一人) of you can be happy all the time. We should know how to deal with sadness and learn to satisfy ourselves. Here are some tips.
▲Speak about your sadness. Have you (曾经) talked with your friends? Friends or family (成员) will be patient to listen to you about your feelings. But don't expect them to find your (问题) unless you tell them first.
▲Put your sadness into written words. Write down how you feel every day. It is a good way for you to (交流) with yourself and calm down.
▲Take part in activities. Read good books, listen to music, or take a (散步) outside. (爱好) can develop your interests and help you feel comfortable .
▲See a doctor. If your sadness starts to interfere (干涉) your (每天的) life seriously, you should ask your doctor for help. What's more, it depends on yourself.
